Ruth is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist who graduated from Curtin University in Western Australia with First-Class Honours. She has completed a Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy Major) where she was awarded the ‘Brian Edwards Prize’ for the student with the best clinical results. In 2025, Ruth completed a PhD, which explored the role of movement in a randomised trial of cognitive functional therapy for chronic disabling low back pain. Ruth currently maintains a clinical caseload and is also a postdoctoral research fellow at Curtin University.
Ruth has experience as an Advanced Scope Physiotherapist in an Emergency Department hospital setting. She has special interests in the management of musculoskeletal injuries, persistent pain disorders and chronic sports injuries. She is an advocate of self management and exercise to address deficiencies and optimise function.
